of gender and sexuality
Duration: 6 weeks

The problem can be seen as the lack of knowledge and awareness about the sexuality and genders not only in older generation but also younger generation, many individual deals with unsure sexual orientation and general confusion due the lack of information as these topics are not included in our education system and in today's date our education system still promotes the binary system of gender and sexuality, as a result many individuals are misguided and misinformed about themselves if that the case or show discrimination toward member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sex (sometimes called biological sex, anatomical sex, or physical sex) is comprised of things like genitals, chromosomes, hormones, body hair, and more. But one thing it's not gender.
our psychological sense of self. Who you, in your head, know yourself to be, based on how much you align (or don't align) with what you understand to be the options for gender.
The ways you present gender, through your actions, clothing, demeanor, and more. Your outward-facing self, and how that's interpreted by others based on gender norms.
Like sex, attraction isn't really a component of gender. However, we often conflate sexual orientation with gender, or categorize the attraction we experience in gendered ways.
To create awareness and provide information to the younger generation about the whole spectrum of sexualities and genders.
To make younger generation more information sensitive toward the sexuality/ gender of their friends batch-mates or any family member.
In urban India, where social media and corporate initiatives have created increased awareness of LGBTQIA+ rights, the scenario looks more upbeat for gay men than for transgender people or lesbian women as they are more focused on one part of the spectrum but there is more to LGBTQIA+ and information regarding that is still unshared.
even if it is promoted on online platforms people are ignorant enough to not give it a read due to its long monographs or heavy text materials.
since online and social media posts are more focused on creating acceptance of the LGBT community, most of the time posts are random posts without the context of the terms, as a result, many individuals are misinformed or don't get the depth of the issue. and these pages are mostly followed by the members of the community only or the people who already know about the community.
To make the awareness campaign more relatable to the people the decision was to make the deliverables into the local Indian dialects of the region the campaign is running hence BALOO by Ek type as they come in multiple scripts
BALOO FOR DEVANAGARI, BALOO BHAI FOR GUJARATI, BALOO BHAIJAAN FOR URDU, BALOO BHAINA FOR ORIYA, BALOO CHETTAN FOR MALAYALAM, BALOO DA FOR BENGALI, BALOO PAAJI FOR GURUMUKHI, BALOO TAMMA FOR KANNADA, BALOO TAMMUDU FOR TELUGU, BALOO THAMBI FOR TAMIL
